Tipness

I went to Tipness last Friday. So far, I have been
to Fitness Club Tokyo Dome. This club is in the same
building as Spa Laqua. You can use Spa Laqua if you
have gold membership. I think this is the most biggest
advantage in this club. Of couse, you have to pay much…

On that day, I went to Tipness One Ikebukuro, and I
became a member of it. Tipness is one of the biggest
chain club in Kantou. You can use any clubs if you have
above a certain level of membership. For example,
I registered in Tipness One Ikebukuro, but I can use
Tipness Kawaguchi, Tipness One Hibiya, Tipness Shibuya,
and so on.

I was surprized that in almost every points, Tipness was
better than Fitness Club Tokyo Dome. I was impressed
that Tipness is specialized for this area, for their profession.
On the other hand, the club at Tokyo Dome is part of the
business of Kourakuen. It may not be their main stream
job.

I’ll quit the former club next month. It’s a pity for me that
I can’t use Spa Laqua without additional fee. But I think
it’s right decision to change the clubs.

Online English School

Since last Friday, I have used an online English conversation
school. Almost all teachers are in the Philippines. Their English
is very good, but it’s very cheap. Thanks for the current
exchange rate.

The school I use is this.

There are many other online English schools. I can’t compare
this school to other schools, because I don’t know other schools
(except English Town.)

I took 6 lessons (about 3 hours) so far. I was satisfied with
their service. If you are interested in them, you should try.
Until the end of this month, they’ll give you 2-4 lessons for
free as trials.

"Sofie's World" borrowed at a library

Yesterday, I borrowed books from the Kawaguchi city library.
The books I borrowed was “Sofie’s World.” Of course in
Japanese. They are books about philosophy, published about
10 years ago. I know it was a best seller at that time.

When I was a child, I went to a library quite often. During
summer vacation, I went to the library several times a week.
The library was a few minutes away from my house by cycle.

For more than 10 years, I hadn’t borrowed books from the
city library. These days I go to the city libraries a few times
a year. Because there were quite a few books that I wanted
to read. I wanted to read treatise on computer software.

But in recent years, I have read business related books. And
these days, I think I need more culture related things. I don’t
want to be just a geek.

Anyway, the library was nice. The library was moved to the
current place last year. It was the first time for me to go to
the library. It is located next to JR Kawaguchi station.
It may be difficult to sense the buautifulness of the library
on the picture in the page below, but it was pretty nice.

I’m thinking I’m changing fitness clubs to Tipness Kawaguchi.
It’s next to the library. It seems great combination for me
to spend my spare time there.
